Our 2021-2022 Officers
Nate Griesdorf
President
Nate is a senior year construction management major. He is someone who seeks love and gratification from working towards his goals. He finds working hard to beat the deadline of a term paper and making conscious decisions to direct the course of his day allows him to use his mind more than any instantly gratifying activity. People often say he is quiet, compassionate, and skilled at facilitating peace between others. He is especially drawn to working with others to accomplish the construction of affordable housing.
Leanne Rosenbusch
Vice President of Administration
Leanne is a third year biology major from Boca Raton, FL. She joined habitat her freshman year after learning of the great impact the organization has on the families involved and wanting to help. She loves seeing the progression of the houses on the builds and getting to know the great people in the club. Leanne’s interests include traveling, playing sports, surfing, spending time with her dog, and watching old Friends episodes.
Ethan Hartman
Vice President of Builds
Ethan is a fourth-year student studying Construction Management with a minor in Sustainability and the Built Environment. He joined UF habitat as a way to intersect his enjoyment of construction and desire to help people, and this is his first year with the club. Since joining, he has been impressed with the people he’s met and looks forward to working with everyone on builds. In his free time Ethan enjoys cooking, trying new foods, reading, playing ultimate frisbee, watching Netflix, and getting to know people. He’s looking forward to a meaningful year helping families with UF Habitat!
Francesca Molfino
Treasurer
Francesca is a junior studying International Studies and Economics. Francesca started volunteering in High School and became an administrative assistant at the Habitat Restore in her junior year. She decided to continue volunteering when she got to UF, and she finds the work very rewarding and loves working with the homeowners. Francesca enjoys reading, playing tennis, and video editing when she's not volunteering with Habitat. Francesca is thankful to have met so many people who are so kind and work their hardest to help others. She considers it a great way to meet others while also helping to build your community!
Tillie Palma
Secretary
Tillie Palma is a third year student majoring in health science and minoring in anthropology. She is from Clearwater, but her parents are from England and the Philippines. She joined Habitat in her sophomore year and is excited to start doing in person activities and builds. Her interest in the club stems from a classmate she had in high school that was able to receive a home thanks to Habitat for Humanity. In her free time, Tillie likes to indoor garden, watch scary movies, read cheesy supernatural books, and play video games.
Kevin Cusack
Collegiate Challenge Chair
Kevin is a second year Master’s student studying Applied Physiology & Kinesiology and Philosophy. Kevin was originally inspired to volunteer with Habitat for Humanity from one of his colleagues who volunteered with Habitat in the past, and Kevin always wanted to get more involved with it but wasn’t aware of the opportunity on campus. Kevin considers his experience in Habitat to have been absolutely wonderful so far—claiming it’s the people who make it great. He believes that volunteering one’s time to build homes speaks to the character of those who serve. The club members, site overseers, and others involved with this work make it great.
Maria Ortega
Event Coordinator
Shannon Hurley
Fundraising Chair
Shannon is a fourth year Microbiology and Cell Science major with a minor in Art History on a Pre-Med track. She joined Habitat during the fall semester of her freshman year because she wanted to meet new people and help the Alachua county community. Last year, she served as our club’s social chair, and she loved planning events for our members, volunteering at builds, and getting to know everyone. Outside of Habitat, she also enjoys spending time with her roommate, their dog and two cats, baking, and spending time outdoors.
James Stapleton
Social Chair
James is a fourth year economics major from Port St. Lucie, FL. He joined Habitat during his junior year and is excited to work for such a good cause. His favorite part about Habitat is the opportunity to meet new people. On a more personal note, James is a huge fan of movies — his favorite is The Prestige. Additionally, James loves gardening, DIY projects, and billiards.
Emma Behrmann
Public Relations Chair
Emma Behrmann is a second year student majoring in journalism and minoring in Spanish. She has been volunteering with Habitat in her hometown since 2017. Habitat was one of the first clubs she joined starting her first semester at UF because she didn't want her experience with the organization to stop. Now as a board member, she is excited to contribute to UF's chapter and start attending builds. In her free time, Emma enjoys lifting weights, attending concerts, traveling and writing.
Zayra Rojo
Web Developer
Zayra is a fourth year student studying computer science and minoring in Italian studies. She joined Habitat for Humanity during her junior year because of the ability to help build affordable housing in the Gainesville community. She's looking forward to attending her first build this fall and contribute to UF Habitat in any capacity. In her free time, Zayra enjoys reading, cooking, and recently building LEGO sets.
Kylie Grant
Undergraduate Representative
Kylie is a third year student at the University of Florida studying applied physiology and kinesiology on the pre physical therapy track. She joined habitat last fall and has loved learning more about the Gainesville community and how to best serve its members. She loved getting her hands dirty and learning new things about construction and being able to make such an impact on new homeowners while on her first build last year and would love to continue to grow her involvement with the greater Gainesville community and UF community through her position as an undergraduate representative this year.
