The UF chapter of Habitat for Humanity hosts builds every Saturday morning from 8:30am to approximately 2:30pm at various locations around Gainesville. Snacks, lunch, and water will be provided! Masks are not mandatory if you have been vaccinated. If you wish to participate, sign-ups are held at General Body Meetings, but there is also the link below for those who missed the meeting. Carpools can easily be arranged, and no experience is required to participate. Following sign-ups, an email with further details regarding the build location and carpool arrangements will be sent to those selected. In the case of limited space, individuals are randomly selected. Do not be discouraged if you sign-up and are not selected because you will be chosen to attend the next week’s build! How do I sign up for a build?

Make sure to sign up by Wednesday at noon before the build.

Join the UF Habitat GroupMe (link is in the homepage) for updates on builds, cancellations, etc. 

Important things to note: If you sign up for a build, it's important that you plan on going if you are chosen otherwise there is a spot that can't be filled when someone else could have gone. Also, it's important that you plan on staying the entire time (from 8:30-2:30pm on Saturdays). If something comes up, please email Ethan before Wednesday night (at least 3 days before the build).

New volunteers: Make sure you fill out the volunteer application in the email you receive if you were chosen, it's very important that you fill this out prior to going on a build site.

How does my student organization sign up for a build?
